A cold blended tomato soup from Andalusia. No cooking, no chewing, pure refreshment. Perfect for warm-weather recovery days.
Ingredients
- 1kg very ripe tomatoes, roughly chopped
- 1 cucumber, peeled and chopped
- 1 green pepper, deseeded and chopped
- 2 garlic cloves
- 50g day-old bread, crusts removed, soaked in water
- 80ml extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp sherry vinegar
- Salt
Method
- 1
Combine tomatoes, cucumber, pepper, garlic, and soaked bread in a blender.

Blend on high until completely smooth, at least 2 minutes.

With the motor running, drizzle in olive oil until emulsified.

Add sherry vinegar and salt to taste. Blend again briefly.

Pass through a fine sieve for a perfectly smooth texture. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
Phase 1: Days 1–3 (Liquid only)
What you can eat now
During days 1-3 your mouth needs complete rest. Stick to room-temperature or cool liquids, smooth soups, broths, fruit juices with no pulp, and dairy smoothies. Nothing that requires any chewing at all.
💡 Tip
Make it the night before — the flavours deepen overnight. Serve ice-cold.
